Broz Hostel, the only Hostel building in Granada completely new, is 100% ECO-FRIENDLY. It was designed focused on a sustainable and eco-friendly develop, which includes the latest advances in bioclimatic technology.
ECO INSTALLATIONS AND SYSTEMS
We opted for a ventilated facade that reduces to the maximum the energy consumption required to cool or heat the rooms. Thanks to its air chamber, the air flows through it regulating the temperature of the building’s envelope, preventing it from getting too hot in summer and blocking the passage of cold in winter.
Our air conditioning and ventilation systems take advantage of the air humidity and temperature, and thanks to an exchange process, it allows us to cool down the hot air that enters from the outside during the summer; or to heat the cold air from the outside during the winter, minimising emissions to the atmosphere.
In other words we use the heat or cold energy from the air that ventilates the rooms, to cool them at the same time, thanks to a recovery unit. In addition, we have a bio-mass boiler, to heat the water properly in case you need a hot shower.
RECYCLING
We can proudly say that we recycle, so you will find our recycling bins in the kitchen, where you only have to separate your waste, and we take care of the rest.
Furthermore, under the sink you will find a blue box, which separates the grease from the water. This way, no oil or grease will end up in the water that comes out of our kitchen sink into the city’s water mains, helping to avoid polluting thousands of litres of water.
